Farewell and Thank You to Ann Jones – Founding Member and Treasurer

After eight extraordinary years of service, the SHE Gynaecological Cancer Group will soon bid a heartfelt farewell to our beloved Treasurer and founding Board Member, Ann Jones, who will officially step down at the SHE AGM this September.

Ann has been with SHE since day one — a driving force in our founding vision and a steadfast champion of women affected by gynaecological cancer. Her passion, care and commitment have helped shape SHE into the organisation it is today. As Treasurer, she has quietly and diligently overseen our financial stewardship through every stage of our growth, ensuring SHE remained strong, sustainable, and true to its purpose.

But Ann’s contribution has extended far beyond the balance sheet. She was instrumental in the creation and implementation of our cherished SHE Care Packs — a program that has now reached and comforted hundreds of women across Tasmania and beyond. With thoughtfulness and heart, Ann helped design every detail, ensuring each pack delivered not just practical support, but the love and care of a whole community.

To say Ann will be missed is an understatement. She leaves a legacy of grace, integrity, and impact — and we will forever be grateful for the years she’s dedicated to this cause and community.

Thank you, Ann, for everything you’ve given to SHE. Your compassion has changed lives, and your spirit will always be a part of who we are.
