ABC Interview with Joel Rheinberger – Survivors Teaching Students
Learning to be a doctor is an arduous road, where you have to absorb thousands of dry facts.
A good case study can make medicine much easier to understand.
So in a program coming to UTAS, survivors of ovarian and gynaecological cancers will be presenting their stories to medical students.
Helen Gooden is the National Manager of the Survivors Teaching Students Program and Dr Eloise Foo is an Ovarian Cancer Survivor from Hobart who has become the Regional Coordinator of the program in Tasmania.
They told Joel Rheinberger what cancer survivors can offer to our future doctors.
